President Martinelli said today on Telemetro that he feels sorry for Noriega, and that we should all know how to forgive and turn the page and blah blah. He announced that his government will seek the return of the narco-dictator to Panama where he will then be kept under house arrest.
To make Noriega feel at home, the government just appointed yet another close military ally of him, Luis Donadío, as head of Panama's prison system. This of course nicely complements our National Police which is being commanded by a Noriega-era war criminal. Panama is sooo on its way to become a first world country!
I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. But then, so did you. It gives you a really cold, sinking feeling in your stomach to be right about this.
You gotta be kidding!
