Calling protesters "maleantes de mierda" and the general "we don't give a fuck what you think" attitude are probably related to the mysteriously high liquor bills the presidency has been accumulating lately - one could easily see these nouveaux riche vulgarians shouting and wasting their cabinet meetings away with drunken twaddle. The rudest and most bad mannered of the whole clique - although it's a close call - is probably the minister of the presidency Jimmy Papadimitriu.
So let's see: We have a police chief who ought to be prosecuted by an international court for war crimes. His advisor and the head of the SPI can't legally have these jobs because of their past. The Attorney General is a Martinelli puppet who got his position because of sleazy and illegal politics which have landed Panama before the Inter American Court. The mayor of Panama City is a corrupt clown who steals and lied about becoming an American citizen. And these people say that some protesters are the "maleantes de mierda"?
The new electronic toys our visionary government bought for the police to check someone's record on the spot (they call that "instant verification technology"), don't work. Or better said: The toys itself work, but these geniuses have now found out that it's a sort of useless if you don't keep the data up to date.
