So Now About That Thumbnail

So they all went to Santa Domingo and sang Kumbaya together and now we're not going to have that war the wingnuts promised us. Time to look back and reflect on a week that shook Panama. This picture for example: Rafael Correa with his entourage visiting Torrijos and his entourage. Look at that guy on the left. That's Galo Mora Witt, Ecuador's Minister of Culture. See anything special about him? No, we don't mean the suit, or lack thereof. Look at his hands, after the jump!

Now look at the pic below. See that thumbnail? Why is it so long? All his other nails are neatly manicured. Except for that thumb. Now we don't know about you, but we know of only one reason people grow a nail like that...

Hmmmmm --- he's an adept at that offshoot of the ancient oriental martial art of yubiwaza, wherein he can disembowel or decapitate a Colombian with his thumbnail, all the while shouting hideous Japanese insults?

He's a musician, you're right, he plays the guitar, the acoustic guitar, the band he plays in - and has done so for at least 30 years - is called Pueblo Nuevo, quite popular in Ecuador. It's our first musician, anthropologist and historian to become a Minister ever, has been only one month at his job, but before he used to be one of the speech-advisors of President Correa, that's the reason he went with him to that trip.
