Torrijismo Nostalgia Kills Police Hotshots

It's easy to imagine the scene. Proud PRD officials leading their Chilean guests to the helicopter. "This used to be the helicopter of our beloved General Omar Torrijos! He flew around in it doing great deeds and performing miracles all over the country! Omar the Saint was always drunk and would jump in the water could walk on water! Welcome, dignified guests, aboard the FAP-100, nicknamed "El Viejo"! What an honor to fly the same machine our lider maximo used to overfly his beloved victims people! Let us show you how he used to make these turns over the bay!"
Well, we now know how THAT ended. Sort of like Torrijos' career. There was probably still seco in the fuel tank. Amazing how Torrijismo continues to claim innocent lives.
UPDATE: Thanks to a commenter, we now know that the government needed spare parts for the helicopter urgently to keep it flying, look here: "(...) ADQUISICION DE REPUESTOS NUEVOS DE FABRICA QUE SE REQUIEREN CON CARACTER DE URGENCIA PARA LA OPERATIVIDAD DE LA AERONAVE SAN-100 DEL SERVICIO AEREO NACIONAL."
