COPA Air, Leaders in High Prices and Shake-Downs

Unfortunately we have to bring negative news too at times. It's about COPA, you know, the Bananama airline that pays its pilots so badly that they were all running away.
But it's not just that. First of all they are hopelessly overpriced. One pays hundreds of dollars to take off, blow your nose, and then fasten your seat belt because they're already descending again. And on top of that, they have this habit of selling you tickets you don't need.
We even know of a case where a businessman was charged two times the price of a one-way ticket for an already ridiculously expensive return ticket he was forced to buy because they wouldn't take him on a return leg to Panama otherwise. Pure shake-down.
Can you complain? No. You can send a complaint to these greedy air cowboys, but even though they promise to respond within 25 days they never will. Corporate policy. This airline is really best avoided.
UPDATE: La Prensa reports that a COPA flight to Costa Rica has managed to crash with a bird!
