Eric Jackson of The Panama News tells us that a trial date has been set for the criminal defamation case brought against him by convicted con man and offshore hustler Marc Boswell a/k/a Rex Freeman.

August 20, at 3:00 PM, you're all invited at the 12th circuit court for the great showdown where Panama's gag laws will be put on trial. Master of ceremony is judge Marlene Morais. She was also presiding over a politically super-charged case against the people involved in the release of terrorist Posada Carriles. All those involved got off the hook.
But chances are that Freeman won't even be here to enjoy the show, but either in jail or out of the country. Yes, shit happens, and it happens more often if you apply for a resident visa without disclosing that you're a convicted felon. Ouch! Bye, Freeman! We guess it's back to Babylon for you....
